This poster design evokes the mystery and emotional charge of this 1979 psychological drama written by John Pielmeier. To capture Pielmeier’s word play (Agnes/Agnus), I chose Zurbarán’s oil painting, Agnus Dei (The Lamb of God) as the compositional anchor. Zurbarán’s baroque elements and symbolism paired well with the play’s depth and suspense.
